About Us

Canopy is an award winning environmental not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting the world’s forests, species and climate.

We understand that business leaders can be powerful forces for environmental change. We work with companies to influence their purchasing habits, and with partners to develop permanent and systemic solutions – such as Second Harvest Paper – to the problem of forest destruction.

Since so much of the forests logged in North America wind up in paper, so we’ve been focusing on the world’s biggest paper buyers since 1999. Today we work with 700+ of the forest industry’s largest paper consumers to help shape their purchasing policies and provide them with the knowledge they need to meet their business goals and protect our forests in the process.
